what a beauty?...

Well I trust that everyone had a fantastic Mother's Day?  Last year Mum and I woke at the crack of dawn (missing out on our brekkie in bed) to catch the city bound train for the "Mother's Day Classic 10km Walk". This year we both opted to sleep in :)  Brett attempted to make me egg and bacon for breakfast for the first time, as his excuse has always been that he can't crack an egg? I must say that it was quite amusing watching him try. LOL :)  The girls came running down in the morning say "Happy Birthday" but the thought was still there. I got a lovely pair of leather boots and a new car. I thought I was pretty spoilt.

This is my Mother's Day present. My very own Holden FB Wagon :)  It doesn't look like much but our plan is to make it a 5yr project. Wait until you see the finished result!

The only problem is that Brett has to go on a 650km road trip next weekend to NSW to retrieve it from a mates place. Happy Driving hun!

Here is our Holden EK which once looked like the wagon above, so I have no fears and just keep thinking of what it will look like once completed. Best of all I get to do it my way :) Yay....

Tonight I am off on a scrapping night with the girls which I hope will be fun. I'm not quite in the mood as I keep thinking of snuggling up on the couch in my PJ's and watching a movie, but at the same time would like the night out. Lets hope the enthusiasm kicks in before 7pm otherwise the night will be a waste of $10.

Have a great "chilly" weekend to all.

my 7 simple pleasures...

Well Helen, here I go.

1/  I just love it when my girls randomly come up to me and plant a wet sloppy kiss on my cheek and tell me "love you" or "night night". My heart just melts :)

2/  A beautiful red sunset. I could stand out there all night and watch the sky change colours.

3/  Curling up on the couch in my PJ's and toasty warm dressing gown watching a really good "feel good" movie eating some yummy chocolate. Mmmmmmmmm

4/  The feeling I get when all my bills are paid and there is still some money left in the bill account.

5/  Seeing my girls play happily and nicely together. I just love the sound of them both giggling :)

6/  The sound of pouring rain hitting our verandahs. I sleep so much better when it is raining outside.

7/  Standing in my backyard and the only noises I can hear is the wind blowing through the trees and the kookaburra's laughing in the background. It makes me proud to be an Aussie.

Well they are my "7 simple pleasures", although I must say that I think I agree with most of Helen's as well.

Happy 6th birthday Declan xxx...

Well yesterday was Declan's 6th birthday and boy hasn't he grown up into a fine young man?  He decided at the last minute to have his party at Hungry Jack's which I'm sure Helen was happy with as this meant there wasn't much for her to do or worry about considering she has just done all that with Tilly's birthday last week.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it as I had to work an 8hr shift, but heard all about it from Bella and Piper as soon as I walked in the door. I'm guessing they had a ball?

And obviously enjoyed having lunch with Grandma and Opa? :)

The next kids party on the agenda is Piper's 2nd and I still can't decided what to do? I don't really want to have it at Macca's or Hungry Jack's (although it is a lot easier for me) but at the same time I don't really want it at home and can't justify paying to have it at a play centre? Luckily I still have a few weeks up my sleeve, but need to leave enough time to book something.

Take care.

phew!!! back to normal...

Yay!!!!!! It looks like the gastro bug has finally left our house? It is so nice not to have washing overflowing and the house back to normal, but best of all it is lovely to see my girls happy and full of energy again :)  Mind you that means stubborness and tantrum's again, but I would much rather that then seeing my girls unwell.

They had a good weekend out and about with swimming Saturday morning and then we all headed off to Dandenong Market to get some new PJ's and dressing gowns for the girls. As soon as we got home Bella was asking for a bath and jammies, but I must say that there is nothing better then on a cold day to have a hot bubble bath and put on your new warm pair of pj's :) Especially once they have been washed and put in the dryer to make them even fluffier :) :) :)

I finally succeeded in getting some nice pictures of the girls together. I'll tell you what thought, it really is a job and a half as I can never get them both to look at the camera with smiles on their faces, but this time I even got a photo of a kiss. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh how cute!

These are the new jammies that the girls got. "Tickle Elmo"
